In the Augustinian Monastery in Erfurt, journey of light comes to life through video projection mapping, bathing the church in warm Christmas colors and reflections. This immersive artwork transforms the sacred space into an intimate dimension where light not only illuminates but also narrates and guides.

Natural elements take shape on the interior walls; snowflakes seem to float in the air, crystallizing winter in an embrace of light. The intricate details of the monastery’s stained glass windows shine and come alive, enhanced and reimagined through a play of light and shadow.

The animations are synchronized with original music composed by Ingrid Kasper, the monastery’s director of church music.
