PERMANENT EXHIBITION

The permanent exhibition at the Kulturmühle in Parchim, credits m.o.l.i.t.o.r. GmbH, presents more than 500 objects, various interactive games, tactile models, audio and video stations in about 1000 square metres.
The museum is organised on two floors, with eleven thematic islands illustrating the history of the city.

The vertical installations provide in-depth access to some of the museum’s themes by linking the two floors. The appearance recalls the style of the historic mill.

The museum hosts as well an immersive room. Two walls of the room are covered with mirrors, while one side features a projection installation. The video animation is projected onto shapes, arranged on several levels, which recall natural scenery and fauna. The projection takes the audience on a journey through the natural life of the Mecklenburg Vorpommern Region before the human settlement.
